Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Paro

Welcome to Bhutan. Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

Later, explore the beautiful Paro Valley and visit the magnificent Rinpung Dzong, one of Bhutan’s finest examples of traditional architecture. Continue to Ta Dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan, which houses a fascinating collection of Bhutanese art, history, and cultural artefacts.

Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Paro River and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of this charming Himalayan town.

Day 2 – Tiger’s Nest Monastery Excursion

After breakfast, embark on the unforgettable hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as Tiger’s Nest.

Perched dramatically on a cliff face approximately 900 metres above the Paro Valley, this sacred monastery is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark. The scenic trail passes through pine forests decorated with colourful prayer flags and offers spectacular views throughout the journey.

After descending, spend the evening exploring Paro town or enjoy an optional traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath.

Day 3 – Paro to Punakha via Dochula Pass

After breakfast, drive to Punakha through the scenic Dochula Pass, one of Bhutan’s most spectacular mountain viewpoints.

Stop to admire the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Upon arrival in Punakha, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, beautifully situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.

Enjoy an exciting river rafting experience on the Mo Chhu River or visit Chimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Fertility Temple. Later, walk across the famous Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan.

Day 4 – Punakha to Thimphu

After breakfast, proceed to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Upon arrival, visit the towering Buddha Dordenma Statue, which overlooks the entire valley. Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, one of Bhutan’s most important religious landmarks, and the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body.

If time permits, explore the Folk Heritage Museum and local markets to gain deeper insights into Bhutanese culture and traditions.

Overnight Stay: Thimphu

Day 5 – Thimphu Sightseeing

Following breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring the cultural attractions of Thimphu.

Visit the Institute for Zorig Chusum, where students learn Bhutan’s traditional arts and crafts. Continue to the Textile Museum to discover Bhutan’s rich weaving heritage. Visit the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal, and enjoy panoramic views of the valley from Sangaygang Viewpoint.

Spend the evening exploring Norzin Lam, the city’s vibrant main street known for its shops, cafés, and local atmosphere.

Overnight Stay: Thimphu

Day 6 – Thimphu to Paro

After breakfast, drive back to Paro.

En route, visit the historic Tamchog Lhakhang and its famous iron suspension bridge built by the legendary bridge builder Thangtong Gyalpo. Upon arrival in Paro, enjoy free time for shopping, café hopping, or simply relaxing amidst the scenic surroundings.

Day 7 – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
