General Information about France

In France tourism is a major industry. France is the world’s leading tourist destination. Not only is it situated at the heart of western Europe, bordering on all the larger countries in the region – Italy, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and – across the straits of Dover – the UK; it also has Europe’s second busiest airport – Paris Charles de Gaulle airport – and dozens of more airports with international connections.

As a country, France offers a fabulous historic heritage and probably the most diversified natural environment of any country in Europe. Its tourist attractions illustrate the history of the human race, from the prehistoric sites of Cro Magnon to the steel and glass of the Futuroscope; they include fine vestiges of all European civilizations, from the prehistoric megaliths of Carnac and the Roman remains of Provence, through medieval castles and cathedrals, to the splendors of Versailles, the nineteenth-century Eiffel Tower, or the resolute modernity of the TGV.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Roissy-en-France- Paris

Van with driver : Private transfer from CDG airport to the hotel.

Cabaret show at the Crazy Horse, with 1/2 Champagne bottle : Sass reigns supreme at this legendary venue. In an intimate setting and with half a bottle of champagne by your side, sit back, relax and enjoy the skillful perfomances of 12 artists in their own interpretation of feminity.

Day 2: Paris

Van with driver : The car is at your disposal for a full-day visit of Paris.

Visit of The Eiffel Tower : This Iron Lady standing tall at 180 metres needs no introduction! Soak in unparralled views of the capital from the Eiffel Tower and engage in a discovery of this most famous monument in the world.

Visit of Louvre Museum : Once a residence for the Kings, the Louvre Museum is the largest museum of art in the world. Did you know that the Louvre is home to 380,000 objects and displays 35,000 works of art? While you may not be able to see them all, stop by to see some of its famous masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace.

Day 3: Paris

Van with driver : The car is at your disposal for a full-day visit of Paris.

Guided visit: History of fashion in Le Marais : Did you know that « marais » means « swamp » in French ? Hardly a glamourous name for a neighborhood now known as the epicenter of Parisian fashion! Explore the Marais on foot with your guide and learn how more about its evolution, from the magnificence of the aristocrats’ masquerades to the clothing manufacturers of the 20th century. Be introduced to the past and present-day stories of boutiques and brands. Learn about the concept of « couture pastries, » or immerse yourself in the history of French perfume.

Dinner Cruise on the Ducasse sur Seine – 4 Course Meal (Nuit Etoilee) : Embark on the Ducasse sur Seine cruise boats helmed by the legendary chef Alain Ducasse for an unforgettable gastronomic journey. Prepare for an explosion of seasonal flavours during a 4 course meal on this floating restaurant that gently glides over the Seine and offers breathtaking views of illuminated Parisian monuments.

Day 4: Paris- Amboise- Chambord

Train ticket : Train between Paris and Amboise (train connection in St-Pierre-des-Corps).

Day 5: Chenonceaux- Amboise

Visit of Chaumont-sur-Loire : A jewel of greenery and stone overlooking the river, the Chaumont-sur-Loire estate, the former home of Catherine de Médecis, has now become an unmissable place for art and gardens.

Day 6: Amboise- Paris

Hot-air balloon in the Loire Valley : Take to the skies for astounding views of natural landscapes of the Loire at sunrise or sunset. Marvel at the gently flowing Loire river making its way between the castles, quintessential villages and nature in all its glory. A perfect setting for a cosy escapade for two in the country of love!
On landing, each balloon is reunited with its team, gathering, graduation ceremony, Toast of the aeronauts!

Amboise entrance ticket & Histopad : Built in the 15th and 16th centuries by Charles VIII, Louis XII and François I, the Château d’Amboise is the first royal residence of the French Renaissance. It houses Leonardo da Vinci’s tomb in its chapel.

Clos Lucé entrance ticket : A few steps from the Château d’Amboise, discover Clos Lucé, the last residence of the Italian Renaissance genius: Leonardo da Vinci. He carried out many projects for King Francis I and died there in 1519. Through this visit, meet one of the greatest minds of all time.
