Arrive at Bagdogra Airport and proceed by road to Phuentsholing, Bhutan’s gateway town located on the Indo-Bhutan border. Complete immigration formalities and check in to your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure exploring the local market and surroundings.
Overnight Stay: Phuentsholing
After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. En route, visit Kharbandi Lhakhang, a beautiful monastery offering panoramic views of Phuentsholing and the Indian plains below.
Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in to your hotel. Later, visit Clock Tower Square and explore the vibrant Craft Bazaar, known for traditional Bhutanese handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring Thimphu’s cultural and historical attractions.
Visit the magnificent Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, overlooking the Thimphu Valley. Continue to the Takin Preservation Centre, home to Bhutan’s national animal. Visit Simply Bhutan, an interactive living museum showcasing Bhutanese culture and traditions.
Later, explore the Bhutan Postal Museum and visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body. If time permits, enjoy panoramic views from Sangaygang Viewpoint.
Overnight Stay: Thimphu
After breakfast, drive towards Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass, famous for its 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and breathtaking Himalayan views.
On arrival in Punakha, visit Chimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Fertility Temple. Later, explore the spectacular Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.
Enjoy a walk across Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge before exploring the local market area.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic excursion to Gangtey and Phobjikha Valley.
Visit the historic Gangtey Monastery and enjoy the picturesque Gangtey Nature Trail, offering stunning views of the glacial valley. Experience traditional Bhutanese hospitality with a visit to a local farmhouse.
Later, visit the Black-Necked Crane Information Centre to learn about the migratory birds that winter in the valley before returning to Punakha.

After breakfast, proceed to Paro, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful valleys.
En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan. Continue your journey through scenic mountain landscapes before arriving in Paro. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore the charming town at your leisure.

After breakfast, embark on the highlight of your Bhutan journey — the hike to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktshang Monastery).
Perched dramatically on a cliff face approximately 900 metres above the Paro Valley, this sacred monastery is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark. The hike offers spectacular mountain and valley views along the way.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath and experience local cultural activities.

After breakfast, drive to Chele La Pass, the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, offering magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks, including Mount Jomolhari on clear days.
Return to Paro and visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. Continue to Ta Dzong (National Museum) and the impressive Rinpung Dzong, renowned for its traditional Bhutanese architecture.
If time permits, visit the Paro Airport Viewpoint to witness aircraft landings amidst the surrounding mountains.

After breakfast, drive back to Phuentsholing and continue to Bagdogra Airport for your onward flight.
