offering one of the most beautiful landscapes on Faial. Continue on towards Ponta dos Capelinhos, a new land mass formed
as a result of an offshore volcanic eruption spanning 1957-1958, adding to the existing westernmost point of the island.
Here you can bear witness to a landscape altered forever, with 300 homes and surrounding fields covered in ash. If
