Tour Itinerary

Day 1: arrival to Lisboa

Arrival to Lisboa Airport. Meet your driver for a private airport transfer (15-30 min.). For your added comfort, we will
have a tour guide waiting for you at the Arrivals Hall with a sign with your name on it. The tour guide will accompany
you to your centrally located Heritage Avenida Liberdade Hotel. Overnight in Lisboa.

Day 2: Lisboa City Tour with a private Tram ride

Embark on a half-day tour of Lisbon, the city of seven hills, has layers of history dating to occupation by the
Phoenicians, the Ro mans, the Visigoths and the Moors. In your private tram, visit the heart of the city, some of the
most iconic places of the capital, like Graça, Portas do Sol, Baixa, Chiado, Bica and Lapa. Feel the magic of travel on
a historical tramcar, and get to know the history, the culture and the traditions of Lisbon. The trams are one of
Lisbon’s most iconic symbols. In Belem, the city’s monumental district, walk alongside a pair of UNESCO World Heritage
Sites: the stunning 16th century Jeronimos Monastery, and the Belem Tower on the bank of the Tagus River. Enjoy a short
stop at the Monument to the Discoveries, celebrating the influential 15th-16th century Portuguese Age of Discovery
before a transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: Exclusive Wine Experience in Lisboa Wine Region

Embark on a full-day tour from Lisbon, where one lives exclusive experiences in two magical and unforgettable wineries.
Lourinhã village awaits you for a “secret” brandy jewel – the Lourinhac. This is one of the three single European
Demarcated Regions of grape brandy – along with the famous Cognac and Armagnac. Visit to their winery, where one learns
about this wine region, the brandy’s aging feeling the different aromas according to the ages of aging, visualization of
the manual labeling and harmonized tasting of brandy with chocolate. The history of the next wine property goes back to
the beginning of the 18th century. The main house was built in 1720 and surprisingly managed to survive the 1755
earthquake due to the granitic structure of the Sintra Mountain Range. In 2003 the “most western vineyards in Europe”
were replanted and the winery was modernized. This tour is their way of keeping the legacy of their Baron Bodo Von
Bruemmer alive. It is their way of introducing the story that surrounds the Estate, embedded in an atmosphere of
modernity, tradition and proximity.

Day 4: transfer to Alentejo

Day 5: Exclusive Wine Experience in Alentejo

Quinta Dona Maria is palace-like house from the beginning of the 18th century is held as a reference, not only for its
beauty but also for its history and quality of its wines. Its interior is rich in tiles from the 18th century, and the
typical marble of the region can also be found all around the house. According to history, this estate was once acquired
by king João V as a present to a lady of the court, D. Maria, with whom he was madly in love. Upon arrival to the
Quinta, visit to the 18th century Chapel, the garden and the Talhas Room. Then, visit to the winery, with the famous
marble presses where the “grape-stomping” is still made today. Lunch at the palace with the company of the property’s
owner, in a true journey in time… this meal is served with a lace tablecloth, antique crockery, silver cutlery and
always accompanied by the owner. The 9 wines served during a meal are top of the range.

Day 6: transfer to Douro Valley

Day 7: Exclusive Wine Experience in Douro Valley

Among the valleys of the Douro River, near the left bank, in the Lamego county, in the heart of the first Pombaline
demarcation of the Region, is Quinta da Pacheca, one of the most prestigious and recognized properties in the Douro
Demarcated Region. The history of the vineyard in this property dates back to the XVI century. With around 75 hectares
of own vineyards planted in the Humanity World Heritage, classified by UNESCO in 2001, Quinta da Pacheca has always been
focused in the production of quality Douro DOC and Port wines and was one of the first in the region to bottle DOC wines
under its own brand. The program begins with a guided visit to Quinta da Pacheca (Vineyard, Lagares, Old Cellar)
followed by the activity that will recreate the experience of being an oenologist and making a special lot of Port Wine.
After the blending process follows the bottling, the capping and the labelling with personalized label. At the end of
the experience each participant will take the personalized bottle of their blend. Then, a Wine Barrel Taste. It aims to
discover the taste of wine from the barrel, it’s a rare opportunity where anyone can stop laying just the wine-tasting
role and spy on being a winemaker. The experience ends with a lunch at the property’s restaurant. The varied and
tempting menu respects the concept of traditional Portuguese cuisine and uses the typical products of Douro that the
virtuous Chef Carlos Pires works with almost divine inspiration.

Day 8: transfer to Gaia/Porto

Day 9: Portuguese Filigree Experience & Douro River Cruise

Set out for a private visit of the Casa Branca de Gramido, in Gond omar. This is the building where, in 1847, the
Gramido Convention was signed, a document that ended the wars between liberals and absolutists and the popular uprisings
that became known as Maria da Fonte and Patuleia. Attend to a private Portuguese Filigree workshop, where a local
goldsmith will explain and show this form of intricate metalwork used in jewelry and other small forms of metalwork.
Filigree began to be produced in Portugal in the 8th century with the arrival of Arab migrants, who brought new patterns
with them. In the end, you will be presented with a customized small golden Heart of Viana, an icon and emotional
heritage of Portugal and of the Portuguese art of filigree. Return to Porto on a yacht along the remarkable Douro River.
A scenic experience, going to the Crestuma–Lever Dam and back to the Douro River Mouth, in the company of beverages,
fruit and typical regional snacks. Once at the Freixo Marina, in Porto, transfer to the hotel.
